Tim Barling: Executive Chair
Before becoming Executive Chair at the last AGM Tim was Executive Director for a year after previously serving on the SEN Committee as Secretary for two years. He is also on the board of the Conservation Council of WA, the state's peak environmental group of which SEN is a member, and on the organising committee for the West Australian Geothermal Energy Symposium. Tim has actively followed the climate change debate and renewable energy based solutions since the 1980's and is currently studying postgraduate Energy Studies at Murdoch University. Tim is a past and current member of numerous other boards and committees and has previously undertaken studies relating to medical science, the marine environment and sustainability. |

Angus King: Vice Chair
Angus King - B.Sc.(Hons, UWA), MBA (UWA), B.App.Sc (Murdoch, Energy Studies) - has over thirty years experience in information technology, predominantly in software development. Over the last fifteen years he has developed a passion for renewable energy technologies leading to tertiary studies in the field and to being one of the first people to install a grid-connect PV system in WA. |

Steve Gates: Secretary
Steve is a Mechanical Engineer with 29 years experience in Research and Development in the offshore, defence, manufacturing and agricultural industries. He currently consults his services and is passionate about using his engineering and project management background to solve problems, particularly those relating to the environment and sustainability, and provides voluntary services to other community organisations. He has been a registered Professional Engineer in California and is a member of the Institute of Engineers Australia. |

Jim Lyon: Treasurer
Jim founded Project Management Solutions Pty Ltd in 1985. Since then Jim has consulted to private, public and government organisations on project management. He also lectures and holds Board directorships. His latest interests involvie climate change and sustainable energy. He holds a BSc from the Penn State University, an MSc from the University of Utah and an MBA from the Florida Institute of Technology. Jim is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Certified Management Consultant. He was instrumental in establishing the PMP program in Western Australia in 1993. |

Gilda Davies
For the last four years Gilda has been developing and lecturing the Diploma of Sustainability. During the last year she has also been providing consultant advice on a large Builders' waste minimisation and recycling project. She graduated from Murdoch University with a Master of Business majoring in Environmental Management in 2003 and is currently studying a Diploma of Environmental Science. Gilda has hands-on environmental experience as well as 25 years in business management and international consulting. A long-term focus on grass-roots climate change action has led Gilda to become involved in the work of SEN. |

Jamie Hanson
From Penguin, Tasmania, Jamie spent his childhood swimming in Bass Straight and poking around in rock pools. Jamie went on to study at the Universities of Tasmania and Oxford, before spending stints in Sydney, London, and Washington DC, working in research, consulting, and think-tank roles. He is currently the manager of the Climate Program at the Conservation Council of Western Australia. |

John Haynes
John is an Operations Manager at Royal Life Saving Society WA and has been pursuing his interest in sustainable energy by serving a second year on the SEN committee and recently completing his Post Graduate Certificate in Energy Studies at Murdoch University. John is also Greens candidate for the seat of Jandakot in the upcoming WA State election in March 2013. |

Matt Price
Matt Price is a sales rep, musician, environmentalist and renewable energy student. He enjoys free hot showers from his rooftop solar hot water system and loves watching his electricity meter go backwards when the sun is shining on his solar photovoltaic system. Matt likes going to the beach, and marvels at the power of the Indian Ocean. He has been to Albany and liked it, but thought it was rather windy. |

Neil is a Management Consultant working in the Energy Sector. He hopes to leverage his skills and knowledge to develop strategy to increase the awareness and use of renewable energy in Australia. Neil holds a B.Eng (Mech, Hons), B.Comm (Int Bus, Management Hons) from the University of Adelaide. |
